Summary of the Book

Mowgli is a young boy, quite like any other. He grew up with a loving family, he has friends who respect him, and he has a home of his own. However, his family is a wolfpack, his friends are Bagheera, the Panther and Baloo, the bear. Mowgli has grown up in the jungle, brought up by the wolves who found him as an infant, abandoned there. Joseph Rudyard Kipling was an English short-story writer, novelist and poet. He is also remembered as the author of Just So Stories and Kim.

One of the most popular writers of his generation, Kipling was considered several times for Knighthood which he refused. In 1907 he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature and he is its youngest recipient till date.
