PUMA is bringing it back to the year 1983 when Ralph Sampson signed with the brand as the number one NBA draft pick, making him the highest profile basketball signing since Walt "Clyde" Frazier.
The eventual member of the Basketball Hall of Fame first played in a pair of prototypes for a couple of games before he received his signature sneaker. It was based on a PUMA basketball model from the 70s and featured a PUMA Contact tooling, a technology the brand often used in the 1970s. Today, PUMA is retrieving the prototype shoes, while granted it a new name, the "Ralph Sampson 70". The shoe comes in both a mid- and low-top model.
If you had to explore a post-apocalyptic world, what would you wear? The Earth Break pack is inspired by this idea and its designed to venture further into that future. Pieces are a fusion of form and function, with cracked textures and earthy, faded colors.
