Raja Rani  (DVD Hindi)

Raja (Rajesh Khanna) was a hardened thief, with the law always nipping at his hells. Nirmala (Sharmila Tagore) was a woman without a future who had consented to a marriage so that she would not be alone. On the wedding night the groom fled, leaving only a note behind. Coincidentally Raja landed there, the police close on his heels and masqueraded as the groom, hiding behind a veil of flowers. Once the police left, Raja also left. When the groom who had run away died in an accident, Nirmala was branded a widow and thrown out of the house. Raja and Nirmala did meet again, but as strangers, and fell in love, it brought along a whole lot of new complications that neither wanted. But love is a strong power and works in strange ways.
