Reliability Engineering (English, Paperback, Srinath L S)
Reliability Engineering is a textbook that comprehensively covers concepts and techniques that deal with reliability in various systems.
Summary Of The Book
Reliability Engineering, published in 2005, is now in its fourth edition. Certain sections of the book has been rewritten, and the rest have been revised. New topics have also been introduced to increase coverage of the subject matter. Maintenance and maintainability are subsets of reliability engineering. Hazard analysis, failure mode, and fault tree analysis are its major components.
Reliability Engineering brings together the techniques needed to evaluate and compare reliabilities of components and systems. Students will see that learning such methods will help them in improving reliability in different systems. Further, this book teaches how to meet the desired system reliability by stipulating the reliability requirements of components and subsystems. Many new examples have been added to the book for students to get a better grasp of the subject. This edition also includes solutions to all problems that are listed in Reliability Engineering. Readers will be able to understand each step, and thus grasp the content much more easily.
This textbook is designed for students who have taken up engineering design courses. This book can also be used as a reference guide by practising engineers and scientists to get an introduction to quantitative aspects of engineering reliability.
