Born in a political family in Raebareli, graduate in psychology and double post graduate in Human Resource Management /Human Rights, she is the founder of NGO Janhit. A National level Kathak dancer, writes in Hindi and English she also worked on Doordarshan as an anchor. She resigned from the post of Regional Head HR for a Washington based NGO in 2011 to pursue her love for storytelling and came to Mumbai. After working on 13 Serials and web series she has also written stories titled ‘Heer’, ‘Marjaaneya and Un4seen. Riha is her first published book.
