Sahara: The Untold Story, by Tamal Bandyopadhyay, features exclusive interview with Subrata Roy. It will let you know everything you ever wanted to know about him and the Sahara India Pariwar.

    Summary of the Book

Sahara - The Untold Story is a book compiled after all a scrupulous research undertaken by the author to clarify India’s most guarded and mostly unlisted business, the Sahara India Pariwar. It also probes into the firm’s current legal clash with the market supervisor. Entrepreneur Subrata Roy could be called the guardian angel of the group, as people in the Pariwar admire and respect him beyond doubt. He aspired to reach out to a million lives and feels hindered and covered up by regulations. The legal battle with the market regulators was thus unavoidable. Roy is also well-known for glamour and his association with film stars, cricketers and politicians. But a lot of questions remain when it comes to firm’s sincerity and honesty with the public involved and the depositors who have trusted it. Discover more about the man and the conglomerate in this book written by an experienced Indian journalist.

Unexpected masterpiece by an amateur author!!!

Just finished reading the book last night. What a masterpiece it is. Tamal B. i read his previous writing on HDFC bank. it was a good work but "The Untold Story" is just amazing. Got to know many things which i have never ever heard about the great Indian family. It astonishing to know how did they manage to acquire such a large presence that to not just in India but across the globe. It's little weird to know that the family didn't want the book to be launched. But I am glad it launched and ...

    The RIGHT versus right

The narrative was good and at instances reminded me of movie Deewar (with the popular dialogue Aaj mere paas bangla hai, gadi hai, paisa hai.......tumhare paas kya hai?). The journey of two brothers on their righteous path to achieve something bigger in their life, their fight for their mother. SEBI and RBI played the Shashi kapoor, a government watch dog that always insisted on playing by the rules, and Subrato Roy reminded me of Amitabh Bachchan, a common man who started his life in drudger...

    The Untold Story

The Untold Story shows marked improvement of Tamal Bandyopadhyay as an author over his previous book “A Bank for the Buck”. While the previous book was a book on new India and the creation of a world class bank, this book shows the real class of the author – superb investigation, backed by facts and amazing story telling. I want more from Tamal

Most Awaited Book of the year

Tamal B., you just written one good piece. Keep doing the awesome job. It is actually a great feeling to read the mysteries and facts about one of the wealthiest family of our country. Astonishing is the fact that the family was not allowing to launch this book. Though they are still against some facts in it(heard it in news). Thanks for the sample copy. God bless the family and the author. Waiting for some more books from Tamal B.

    Awesome book to read

Finished the book finally, couldn't stop reading it. Amazing story of the Great Sahara Family, how can one not read it and if read and not find it interesting. It's the family which is not yet listed on the market but still humongous. Family with so much love and togetherness facing the regulatory issue is sad to know about. but they will get out of it soon, prayers are already been done for them. Tamal nice writing.

Glad to read it in one go

The Untold Story, always heard from parents that lots of money can only be earned through wrong ways. But the Sahara Family history reveals the facts of their rising in a clean way and with lots of hardwork and family togetherness. It is Subrata Sir because of whom the family has reached the peak. Hats off to his intelligence and thinking, feel pity that even after doing so much the family is suffering because of the regulators.
