While these can protect you from accidental hits, don't expect these to protect you from sliding on wet zones. Gore tex water proof is quite good but these feel warm and uncomfy after a while. Not good for trail run if it doesn't fit your size well. Very likable shoes otherwise in terms of standing stability, pronation issues.
