Celebrated as the world’s most viewed mythological serial by the Limca Book of Records, Ramayan, is an Indian epic television series aired during 1987-1988 on Doordarshan channel. The series depicting the life of Lord Ram is created, written, and directed by Ramanand Sagar. It created quite a stir and turned out to be one of the all-time greatest hit serials in the history of Indian television. Sampoorn Ramayan is the compilation of 20 DVDs that are 62 hour-long and feature this complete series as shown on Doordarshan. This devotional serial stars Arun Govil, Deepika Chikhalia, Dara Singh and Lalita Pawar in major roles.
