Description

Whoever said that a big family is a happy family was gravely mistaken. Directed by Devon Bhojani and starring Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly and Rajesh Kumar, Sarabhai V/s Sarabhai is an Indian sitcom that revolves around the entertaining and hilarious moments that occur during the daily life of a Malabar Hill family. The protagonist, Sahil, is a cosmetic surgeon whose extravagant mother and nosey wife can’t help but squabble every time they get the opportunity to. Sahil and his father often get caught in the crossfire of the war between Sahil's mother and spouse.

Good Collection, Albeit Incomplete

Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai is undoubtedly among the best comedy shows ever shown on Indian television. Its a quirky and refreshing take on both the 'middle class' and the 'uptown folks', in the Yes Minister style of comedy to a fair bit.It's great that we finally have the official set of DVDs - is definitely a must have!

The only grouse I have with this set is that it does not have ALL 70 episodes - only 50 (5 per dvd). Quite a few episodes are missing, for instance, Rosesh's Poetry Book Publica...

I watched all the episodes and still love watching it(repeated telecast is relayed on Star one)

Humour in every sense of the term.

One of the most humorous shows to have ever been aired on Indian Television. It generated moments of sheer magic in my life and everyone else's, i presume. The very funny attributes the characters of the show are infused with,along with the brilliantly written dialogues of the show all add to the immense popularity that the show garnered amongst the masses. Truly changed the face of Indian T.V. Sarabhai was a pathbreaker and a trendsetter in every respect.

Go on, visit the Sarabhais!

uess it wouldn't be incorrect to say that the Sarabhais are Indian telly's most engaging - albeit dysfunctional! - family.

What's the show about?
An extended family of seven, replete with the goofy patriarch, his snooty wife, their two sons (one dutiful, the other a Mama's boy), the middle class daughter-in-law, as well as their daughter and nerdy son-in-law.

What works?
The subtle humour, hilarious dialogues brilliantly delivered, amazing comic timing on part of the entire cast all add up...

The Best Show Ever

For the first time ever,I actually enjoyed watching a TV serial.Obviously,one which combines the talents of Sumeet Raghavan,Satish Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah leaves you with no other option.And it's not even of the type of serials where comedy is generated by showing a lot of characters as a trifle insane.Sarabhai V/s Sarabhai leaves you laughing through some wonderfully created situations.A realistic feel,great actors and probably the best dialogue writers.
In short,I totally love Sarabhai V...

Used to watch this show some years back on TV and wanted to have it because of its ultimate humour...
People who haven't seen it yet, I would say .... GO FOR IT!!..

The BESTEST

When this show was being telecast, TV was full of Ekta Kapoor's serials but Hats Off production and their shows were making their way. I still remember, I was not ready to believe that, this show was directed by Deven Bhojani. On the matter of the fact still I believe it was only his name else some ghost director had directed this show. This is not to take away any credit from Deven but just trying to say, what an impossible creative he had shown.

It was beyond any imagination a perfect show...
