Scholars scripts out the joys and woes of the scholar, Vinod D Rangari, amidst his research at the Regional Research Laboratory, Jammu, from 1984 to 1989. It was not an easy and straight way for him. After the departure of his guide to Vietnam, it was an ordeal to continue research work without a Supervisor, without a PhD registration for a man all alone with no friend in a new place. He transformed himself and learned from every signal of positivity to move on the path with enthusiasm and courage. Suniti was such emblematic that guided his inner self in an impasse. While on the way, he encouraged and personally supported all those people in difficulties, and perhaps, the help extended to others rebounded back to him as a panacea to come out of his hardships. Scholars is a fruition of a promise given by the author to his friend during farewell.
