Sennheiser HD201 vs Sony MDR ZX300

I have both these headphones (Sennheiser HD201 and Sony ZX300) though I did not buy it from flipkart. Based on my experience with these headphones, I must say that both are good headphones for those with a limited budget. But there are certain differences that can be a deal breaker for some people. Let me list the most evident ones.
    1. Sennheiser offers a two year warranty whereas the Sony gives only one.
    2. The build quality of Sennheiser is much better than the Sony. Sony is a little flimsy...

    Sennheiser HD 201 : Low Bass Warning - A Layman's Review

To start with I am not an audiophile, but definitely one with an 'ear for quality' ;)

    Build:

Very good build quality if you ignore that its made of plastic. The headrest comes with a cushion.

The headphones are AroudEars(AE) type, which is really an advantage and very comfortable to wear.

Even though I use for continuously long hours I never encountered the warming issue, as reported in many reviews on the internet.

    Audio Performance :

The headphones from the prestigious Sennheiser re...

    Love them!

I bought these last November for over 2000 bucks from Reliance Digital. I did not buy it from Flipkart but, since I have used them for long I thought of reviewing them.

To start off with, these are gaming headphones. If you are a gamer the bass from the game will amaze you. The sound is completely different if you put on these from the other normal headphones. The bass is really great and adds a new dimension to the sounds.

These are ultra light and you can put on these for hours and stay c...

    Good enough

I am the proud owner of Senn's Hd 201. I've used them for a week now, and would like to share my opinion on these.
This set isn't my first set of headphones, and I know that one can get headphones of better bass, treble, etc. I was intending to buy the Philips Shp2700 before this, but as the model turned obsolete, I purchased its only competitor for my price range.

To put it simply for those who intend to buy/not buy, I thought I'd put in a lovely pros and cons list.

    Pros:
    -> Its a lovely s...

    Bang for Buck

These headphones are amazing value for money.

I have developed a good ear to judge sound quality and these headphones are very good for the price when compared with much more expensive headphones. They produce very natural treble and clear bass. So instruments can be heard very clearly.

If you are just looking for overly bass boosted headphones to play the usual pop music, these headphones are not for you.

    Use :
They are great for home use, but not suitable for travel, since the wire is ...

    Really a good Headphone

I had read lot of reviews for this items and even though fear factor really just on top of me after I ordered it though the flipcart. Fear factor is not related with flipcart but only related with whether I have chosen the right product for me or not . But now a days when I listen music, songs then I feel the extreme level of satisfaction for choosing this item. This HD 201 is really good product for entry level music lover.

Sound Quality is excellent I can give 8/10. Very soothing sound...

    Nice and decent

Two important things for me in a headphone are sound clarity and build quality.

Sound: Good clarity, but not great. A bit low on bass. Highs and mids are good enough.

Build quality: Again good but not great. However, it seems the key word here is 'price'!

I own another pair of 'on the ear' Sennheisers HD 218, they are a bit more expensive than the HD 201.

But back to back comparison between them, makes you notice that some corners have been cut to keep prices down, both sound as well as b...

    Sennheiser HD 201 Review (8.0/10)

This is one of the best headfone i had ever had. The packing was awesome but the price is too high and the design is poor. the sound is cool but one and most important negative point of this product is there is no music controller. But everything is ok about this headfone.. I got this order with 3 business days. Cheer up flipkart.com.

    AWESOME

Now as for the headset, it's a brilliant piece of work. Awesome Bass, treble and noise suppression. And it is same as good for music listening as it is for games.

    Anyways:

    PROS:
    1) Awesome bass.
    2) Awesome Treble [though not as good as the bass]
    3) Good noise suppression.
    4) Highly comfortable [Fits fully over the ears...Barely sweats and the sweat gets absorbed by the pads]

    CONS:
    1) Non rotatable cups [Sometimes needed]
    2) Not that good Amplitude
    3) If you got specs [like I have], then ...

    A decent buy..

The HD201 from sennheiser are a decent buy. Comfort is top class.
Ticks all the right boxes. Has an ample amount of bass (metal heads might be dissapointed)

Your liking of this product depends on how you wantto use it.
If watching movies for long hours is your thing, do not think twice(the looooong cable is a real boon here). Fairly good for gaming as well.

stay away if heavy bass is what you're looking for
