Shivpuran has twenty-four thousand verses and seven Samhitas. But in this book I have described them in eleven sections. I have made this change keeping in mind that the person who reads it can understand the knowledge written in this Purana. That is why I have written it in very simple language and in a very simple manner. By reading this Purana, you will be able to know about Supreme God, who is Shiva, his conduct, his behavior, his thinking, his understanding, his actions, his teachings, his knowledge.
The main objective of writing Shiva Purana was that all human beings on earth should understand their life, understand the reason for their birth and also understand what they have to do and what not to do while living on this earth. In Kaliyuga, the lifespan of man is short, that is why Shiva Purana and other Puranas were written to give man the correct knowledge of right and wrong.
To understand Lord Shiva, you have to read Shiva Purana despite being ignorant, because if knowledge is too much, sometimes it takes the form of arrogance, as happened with Ravana. No matter how hard you try, your ego does not allow you to gain more knowledge. Therefore, arouse devotion in your mind and try to understand this great book without being ignorant.
