India of 2023 – The country has made tremendous progress in technology and economy. But after all this, some parts of the country are in the dark! In many remote villages people are still judged on the basis of caste, creed, caste, rich and poor… Even though the whole of India has progressed, these areas are still in the darkness of the Middle Ages! Young doctor Gautam Subramaniam was traveling with his family to Chennai on a stormy night when the car suddenly broke down near an abandoned village called Kattial. Leaving his wife and daughter in the car, he went to the nearby village Navamalai for help in the heavy rain! But no one is willing to help him, according to the villagers, Gautam's wife and daughter are no longer alive! They have been swallowed by the evil spirits of Kattial! The village was destroyed in the tsunami of 2004, but the evil spirits still roam there. Gautam was surprised, does anyone believe in 2023? Finally three elders of the village came forward to help him. Shaktivel Thevar is the village head, Raja is a mechanic/blacksmith and Peter Pandian is the shop owner. Shakti and Raja both lost their children because of that evil village…they don't want Gautama to lose his loved ones too. So the three friends went out in the rainy night to rescue the doctor's family. They reached Kattial in the dark of night, and realized that the 'curse' surrounding the village is not supernatural but this curse is 'blood and flesh'! The result of the sins of the previous men! What happens now? Can the four of them find Gautam's wife and daughter? Can you get out of the cursed village alive? Or will Kattial's unknown curse swallow them like everyone else?
