Excellent
Good quality 7812 ICs . Used this for a custom project that had to filter Alternator power coming from a regulator. This does a great job of filtering and giving stable 12v 1A current. But have 2 high capacity capacitors at in and out and a good heatsink for best perfirmance. Also prefer to add 2 diodes to make it linear and reduce any reverse bias. This can get very hot based on the load and voltage variance.
