Its 425 phase-detection AF points work seamlessly with its contrast-detection AF to make for a blazing fast acquisition speed. In addition to that, its high-density AF Tracking Technology makes it convenient for you to track even the most erratically moving subjects with great ease.
This camera’s automatic motion tracker takes advantage of an AI subject recognition algorithm to help you maintain constant focus on whatever you’re trying to take a picture of.
It automatically detects the eyes of your subjects and autofocuses accordingly to help you take better portrait pictures. You can even prioritise which eye of your subject you want to focus on. Also, once AF-C is set, you enjoy stable focus even if the subject’s face is hidden, backlit or facing downwards.
This camera is capable of continuous shooting up to 11 fps or 8 fps (in silent-shutter mode) for about 77 frames. Also, this display lag in this camera has been significantly reduced, so you can shoot up to 8 fps even in the live-view mode. On top of that, the continuously shot pictures can be easily displayed in groups when you’re in the playback mode.
It supports the 35-mm format and 4K movie recording, along with full pixel readout and no pixel binning, which facilitates oversampling which is about 2.4 times the information that’s required for 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160). This camera comes with a bunch of features, such as clean HDMI output, variable framerates, proxy recording and zebra exposure metering, among others, so you can shoot professional-quality videos. Additionally, you can even extract the still frames of your choice directly from the videos when you’re in the playback mode.
Its 3.0-type LCD monitor offers you a 921k-dot resolution to ensure that you have a crystal-clear view of your subject. You can easily tilt this camera’s screen upwards up to 180 degrees and downwards by about 74 degrees, so you can shoot vlogs and selfies from great angles.
This camera features interval shooting with a set interval between 1 and 60 seconds. You can later use a PC to create a time-lapse movie using the resulting images. On top of that, this camera’s simple variable-speed preview function helps you view those images easily so that you have a brief idea about how the finished movie will be like.
