Beautiful Sound
I have used so many headphones in last few years most of the time is from Sony.
Previously I had the MDR35LP , somehow after around 2 years of use the sound is coming from left piece.
This one I bought after doing some research. Good sound clarity. My last sony headphones only problem I found is BASS is too good but thats all , sound is not loud at all. That issue has been resolved in this one.
Here are my rating.

Major bang for buck!
I've previously owned Logitech,Sennheiser,Samsung,Klipsch,Philips and Sony branded earphones, and I have to say that these earphones (The Sony MDR EX220LP) are one of the best pairs I've owned! Also, I'm a pro sound engineer, so I know exactly what I'm saying.

Good not great..!!
Got this earphones three days earlier and I must say that they didn't satisfy my expectations. I had a pair of Skullcandy ink'd earphones earlier and the bass quality was far better than sony. The sound is crisp, good for normal song lovers. But the quality may fall short to a bass lover. While I turn on the audio boost in my mobile, the high beats are sometime felt cracked which I never felt with my skullcandy. I'd recomend a Skullcandy at this price point. Amazing Clarity
I am an ardent fan of semi classical, carnatic and fusion music and i enjoy really hearing to the same with a precision each and every note as i listen to almost 4 - 5 hrs of music everyday be it travelling or at home or driving.I purchased this in this view and was truly amazed by the clarity of the output. The bass and treble balance is very apt for a listener who wants more of clarity than volume. I recommend this.

Astonishing earphones
As the name suggest "SONY - High Quality Sound" Earphones, It does produce Very Good Clarity of Audio and also GOOD bass effect.
It is almost acts like a Noise Cancelling Earphones, Once you start listening to any audio, you cannot hear any noise from the outside.

Ephemeral....Last for 6 Months..Think!.

I Have brought these 6 months ago now left side is not working....build quality is good but not reliable.
I am Sony lover,.. but let me clear myself sony Earphones are ephemeral they do the job like no one does but last hardy a year (for me only six months).
I will not suggest other brands but do count lifetime of the product too when investing more than 700.
