Classic Sound Producer in its Class
Sony has been the pioneer in producing devices with optimized sound clarity.
Currently I don't own the product but had a demo at a Sony Center near my place.
I tested the product with Sony's B Series MP3 player and found the product to have the following properties:
1. Very nice clarity with thumping bass.
2. Vocals don't hurt your ears and sounds as they should.
3. You can hear all types of instruments that are played in the music without loosing any of them.
4. I would give 9/10 for comfort...

Excellent value for money
I was looking for a headphone for my wife as an anniversary gift. She likes listening to music and watching movies and TV shows on the computer, but had been doing so with a very cheap pair of headphones for some time, so I thought it would be nice to gift her with a decent set of cans.
Except that I just couldn't find anything that fit my budget as well as offered a good set of features. They were either too heavy, or too small or too tinny or too tacky. After a bit of banging my head again...

A Delight !
Ordered and received my set of Sony MDR-MA100 back in September. Did a fair amount of research before finally ordering it.
When i opened the box, i was a little unimpressed. The headphones were a little too big for my liking. I wanted something that could be carried around while travelling and this definitely is not something like that.
But what it didnt offer me mobility wise, it covered it up in the sound and comfort and overall feel of it. Big yet very light, comfortable around the ear...

Worth the price ;)
I bought this headphones around 1-2 months ago, though from Sony store.. But the product is just amazing. Bass is awesome. Sound is awesome. Looks is awesome. Even if you are hearing songs at a bit high volume, The bass and sound is perfect.
You can wear the headphones as long as you want, It will never let you feel any pain.
The soft cushion-type thing will make your ear comfortable.
The only problem is, If you wear it while sleeping or resting in bed, its big in size.
P.S - Just Buy it ! :)

Beast in this category..After proper burn in..
Just brought it from sony store and without burn in i am reviewing this..
Previously i used zx 300 which are 1500/- these are 1090/-(Mrp)..
Pros:
for 1023/- you can't expect more
If you expect a lot then its your fault not from the product..

I got this headphone today morning and hats of to Flipkart they delivered me this product in one day. Thanks Flipkart.com.
Being I am music lover I am using Jabbra (Bluetooth) for my iPhone. I am also using Skullcandy at home but due to my office environment I can use loud speaker so bought this one for office PC. So I am that guy who can tell you which is the best buy for sound. I was order Sony brand first time in my life and I am just amazed that Sony also give nice sound quality product...

To all of you who says the it doesn't have noise cancellation, be aware that these aren't a standard headphones, it's open-back type.
An open-back headphone leaks more sound and also lets more ambient noise into it, but gives a more natural or speaker-like sound
Also the headphone has low volume because of 40ohm impedance (more the impedance more voltage required). The mobile devices often use low voltage and thus lower volumes.
Opt for other products if you don't know how to buy a headpho...
