The only issue with rubber grip is that as soon as it comes in contact with water it looses grip from that part... but not a big deal just wipe it...and you are good to go. Feels good in hand... awesome game feel. Helps with handles.

Nice Ball!
The pebbles wear out rather quickly when used on an outdoor court.
Weight is ok, and the bladder is so great that you'll never need to refill. Ive been using the ball for months, and still never had to refill.
For rough use, the Nivia top grip is a good option.
NB: The Spalding logo is not embossed, it is just painted on the ball.
MRP sticker on the ball says 599.
