Summary of the Book

Dr. Kalam has once again teamed up with his friend, Arun Tiwari, and through a series of dialogues, presented his complex ideas on the success of the IT and human resource industries in India. They have candidly chronicled the truth as they see it, but with respect to each other's viewpoints. Even as the wealth has seemingly grown in India due to the IT and HR boom, the inequality has still broadened and many cons have surfaced in the private sectors as well. There have been civil movements against corruption, creating an impression of anarchy and distrust. Amidst his displeasure with the existing state of affairs, Dr. Kalam recalls the rational fight initiated by Socrates against the rule of autocracy and feels duty-bound to express his concerns.

About the Authors

A. P. J. Abdul Kalam is an author, scientist, and the Former President of India. He has also written Developments in Fluid Mechanics and Space Technology, India 2020: A Vision for the New Millennium, My Journey: Transforming Dreams into Actions and You Are Born To Blossom. Kalam was born on 15th October, 1931, in Madras Presidency, British India. He finished his schooling at the Rameshwaram Elementary School. He then obtained his undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Madras and pursued his degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Madras Institute of Technology. In 2002, Kalam became the 11th President of India. He is presently a visiting lecturer at the Indian Institute of Management, Indore; Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; and the Indian Institute of Management, Shillong. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Bharat Ratna, Ramanujan Award, and Veer Savarkar Award.

Arun Tiwari is an author and scientist. He is a missile scientist who worked on the design of the Akash and Trishul missiles with Dr. Kalam. He is the first to design a titanium bottle for powering missiles in India. Tiwari has also been the director of the Cardiovascular Technology Institute, Hyderabad.
