About The Book: In the book , “Science and Puranas with Sri Ramanuja’s Gita Bhashyam and prescribed conduct to attain liberation”only one of Sri Ramanuja’s teaching was given. This book includes his other teachings namely Vedanta Deepa, Vedanta Sara and Sri Bhashyam, which are commentaries on Badarayana’s [Sage Vyasa‘s] Brahmasutras. Vedartha Sangraha is a commentary on Upanishads. In all these works, the nature of the soul as well as the destination of the soul after death is given. Further the nature of Brahman, who is the supersoul is also given. The manner of performing various types of meditations is also mentioned in the book. In Srivachana Bhushanam, importance of Prapatti or surrendering oneself to the Lord is given. In Sri Ramanuja’s Gadyatrayam, the bliss a soul experiences after attaining Sri Vaikuntam [abode of Mahavishnu] is given. The means of attaining Sri Vaikuntam is also given. In the power of sages, extraordinary powers of our ancient sages is given. A list of 108 divya deshams [sacred places], along with its location, which every Vaishnava [devotee of Mahavishnu] should visit once in his lifetime is also given. About The Author: Mr. R. V. Raghavan joined the then Vijaya Bank [now Bank of Baroda] in the year 1982 as Probationary officer, after a distinguished academic career. He obtained Govt of India Merit scholarship for having achieved distinction in School Leaving Certificate exam. He then obtained a degree in science from the Bangalore University.
