This book is a collection of five stories from Mahabharata. It includes the following titles: Nala and Damayanti, Savitri, Kacha and Devyani, Indra and Shibi and Indra and Shachi. The book is a good read for children between the ages of 9-14 years. It will teach them good from bad, and will instill some important values.
Nala and Damayanti
This is the story of Damayanti, the princess of Vidharbha Kingdom, who married King Nala.
Savitri
Savitri is a beautiful and pure girl who marries Satyavan and goes to live with him in the forest.
Kacha and Devyani
Devyani is rejected by Kacha in her early life. This provokes her to curse him with never being able to use his knowledge.
Indra and Shibi
Read this story of the selfless king Shibi who gives up his own flesh to save a dove from Indra who has transformed into a hawk.
Indra and Shachi
This is a story about Sachi, the goddess of sovereignty and the wife of Lord Indra.
