He has worked at the senior positions of Joint Director, SAIL; Director, Global Steel Europe, Managing Director of Danieli Corus India. Presently, he is MD of Global e-Auctions ( P) Ltd.
Dr. S.B. Saraswat is an Electrical Engineer with a PG qualification in ADR, Material Management, Public Administration, Industrial Engineering, and Ph.D. He is the recipient of the certification of ISO & High Tension Supervisory Competency.
Dr. Saraswat has completed many large projects in Steel, Power and Petroleum sectors in India, Europe and Middle-East.
Dr. Saraswat has been instrumental in lead role to implement e-Auctions in one of the largest PSU organisation of the country since as early as year 2000 which has spread now in most of the PSUs and large organisations as a way of doing business. He has been a speaker in International seminar on e-Commerce. He also implemented e-Auctions in Global Steel in Europe.
He is an honorary guest faculty in Supply Chain Management and Operation Management in various universities/ management institutes in India & abroad.
He is a regular speaker in international seminar on industry topics.
He is the Chairman of Indian Institution of Plant Engineers (IIPE-D/H).
He is a Fellow & Charter Engineer of Institution of Engineers(I) and Fellow of Indian Institution of Plant Engineers.
He is also an Arbitrator on a panel of forums of ICA, SCOPE, CIAC, IDAC Ahmedabad, Newton Arbitration UK, BIMA-CC Bangalore, Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation, Kochi, AIC-ADR, Delhi & IITArb, India.
He has widely travelled abroad to Europe, East Asia and Middle East for professional activities.
Dr. Saraswat has contributed a number of research papers on Arbitration, Project Management and Supply Chain Management and e-Commerce.
