Streams from the Himalayas  (English, Paperback, Rohan Chakraborty)

My small writing room in the attic of the old-style cottage (in a sleepy village in the eastern Himalayas) seems to have assumed a character of its own. Even the pinewood table and the chair too. They seem to have become my guardian in the lonely cottage and tell me to do what I need to do. When I spend too long a time with them (a day or two or three - writing or reading) they ask me to take a break and go outside. So I go out, and there is a narrow trail behind the cottage which I often take for a walk. The trail takes me to the mountain stream about four miles away. If I take a small notebook (and a pen or pencil) along with me I put down my musings sitting on a rock beside the stream. And when my old Nikon camera is with me I take a few photographs of the entrancing formation of the fluent water formed around a big boulder or small rocks. Thus the idea of this book came to me.
