About Leonard Mlodinow

Leonard Mlodinow is an American physicist and author. Born in Chicago of Jewish parents, he received his PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of California. His book, The Drunkard's Walk: How Randomness Rules Our Lives was a New York Times bestseller and was short-listed for the Royal Society book award. He has also co-authored two books with physicist Stephen Hawking - A Briefer History of Time, and The Grand Design. Besides writing books on popular science, he also co-wrote the screenplay for the 2009 film Beyond the Horizon. He has been a screenwriter for television series, including Star Trek: The Next Generation and MacGyver.
