  • Description

Nisha falls in love with God, who accepts her into his group. They seem to be handling their relationship quite well, but things start to deteriorate after a point.

    Summary of the Book

Nisha, a vulnerable teenager, meets God in her college canteen and immediately falls in love with him. He is street smart, bearded and carried of the ragged look. God decides to take her into his group and as time goes, the two of them start having a passionate affair. In time, God gets into poetry and journalism, while Nisha finds a job in advertising. On one hand, their romance is intruded by court jesters, old men, party girls and pretty boys, and on the other, they are both doing extremely well in their careers. However, good things don’t come easy for too long and everything in their life starts going wrong.

    Yuck!

Please don't waste your time and money on this. I bought this book in a box set along with a few other books of Mrs. De and have been since then regretting the money and time spent on Mrs. De's work. You'll be better off reading and essay about probably a cow or a flower by a first grader. This book, it's going to insult your intelligence. Don't let it!

    I am awestruck!

This was the first novel by Shobha De that caught my attention and my god what an amazingly creative lady she is; breaking all the stereotypes is the plot that doesn't seem to leave my mind. Although the content suffers major ups and downs, but it manages to pull through somehow.
    Well done!
