Sunset Thoughts is a collection of twenty poems based on everyday human emotions. It is somewhat an autobiographical take on the poet's life, offering a wide range of his experiences and philosophical speculations. The book has an overarching visual narrative, the poems being built more on vivid imagery than symbolism. The poems explore the complex themes of regret, passion, love, betrayal, suspicion, loss and even innocence to address a mixed bag of human feelings. Sunset Thoughts is the debut work of Sabyasachi Mukherjee. It not only questions people's comprehension of- the ways of the world, human relationships, desires and expectations; but also suggests solutions to gain composure and achieve inner peace.
