About the Author
Dr. Sammbamurty is a Senior Reader in Botany in Sri Venkateswara College teaching various branches of Botany for the past two and half decades to B.Sc. and B.Sc.(H) students. He is a member of several scientific bodies and a Fellow of the Genetics Society of India and a Fellow of The Botanical Society of India. He published 25 research papers in Rice Cytogenetics in different Indian and International Journals. He attended and participated in several Indian and International symposia seminars and congresses. He published jointly with Dr. N.S. Subrahmanyam A Text Book of Economic Botany published by Wiley Eastern (1989). He is an author of A Text Book of Botany Vol. I (1990) consisting of Algae. Fungi and Plant Pathology. Bacteria and Viruses and Vol. II (1998) comprising BryophytesPteridophytes. Gymnosperms and Paleobotany published by Konark Publishers. Dr. N.S. Subramanyam is a Senior Reader in Sri Venkateswara College teaching various disciplines in Botany for the past two decades to B.Sc. And B.Sc.(H) students. He published jointly with Dr. A.V.S.S. Sammbamurty A Text Book of Economic Botany (Wiley Eastern 1989). He also published A Text Book of Modem Taxonomy (Vikas 1997); Manual of Practical Taxonomy (Vikas 1997) and Question Bank in Botany for Medical Entrance Tests (Vikas 1997).
