The book Alchemy of Finance by George Soros is a layman's guide to the world of finance and financial planning. Written in comprehensive English, this book is wisely divided into five sections that deals with the author’s personal views of several topics and theories related to the economy.
Some of the topics discussed in this book are the theory of Reflexivity in the Stock Market and the theory Reflexivity in the Current Market, the historical events like the International Debt Problem, Reagan’s Imperial Circle, and the Oligopolarization of America. About George Soros
George Soros is the acclaimed Hungarian American business tycoon, philanthropist, and financier and investor. He was ‘The Man Who Broke the Bank of England’ during the Black Wednesday incident of 1992.

George was born in a non-believer Jewish family in Budapest. He acquired his Bsc degree from the London School of Economics in the year 1952. After working as a fancy goods seller by the sea and various memento shops, railway porter, and waiter George managed to get a trainee post at the then Singer & Friedlander, a financial service providing agency. George Soros is also the chairperson and founder of Soros Fund Management and the Open Society Foundations. He was an ardent follower of his professor, during his graduation days, and the philosopher Karl Popper.
George has won several honorary degrees from various eminent educational institutes like the New School for Social Research, the Corvinus University of Budapest, University of Bologna, the University of Oxford, Yale University, and the Yale International Center for Finance Award from the prestigious Yale School of Management.
