The Bastard of Istanbul  (English, Paperback, Shafak Elif)

This is one of those books where a city and food is as much a character in the story as the people are. The book evoked feelings in me quite similar to those I felt while I was reading The Scent of Pepper by Kavery Nambisan, but it failed to see those feelings through to a satisfactory climax.

the book is very good to read.. but came with very poor packaging

The book has no riveting or arresting plot line...the first character introduced to us, Zeliha goes on and on about the rain mishaps, the cribbing never ends. The plot is so slow it makes you doze off within a few minutes. If you like faced paced books with interesting plot lines this is not the book for you

Very bad printing quality

Bad quality pages, book looks old or second hand.

The paper quality is cheap. The price is high, so m not personally satisfied

A good read. Very well written. The story is tightly knit. Different story lines are connected effortlessly. Set against a thrilling backdrop. Good paper and print quality.
