Summary of the Book

The Book of Man presents the author’s ideas of the new man, based on his discourses, which take readers through the various stages of evolution of man. Today, man is becoming alienated from his inner self and is in a mindless quest for worldly successes. But Osho asserts that it is more important to rediscover the innate qualities like love and compassion, and tread the path of ideal men like the Buddha and other enlightened souls. The book is filled with several anecdotes as well as Osho’s witty and perceptive answers to questions asked by his followers.

About Osho

Chandra Mohan Jain, also known as Acharya Rajneesh, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, and later as Osho, was an Indian spiritual guru, mystic and new age philosopher. He is best remembered for his widely controversial teachings and his ashram, which is currently located in Pune and known as the Osho International Meditation Resort. Osho has penned several books, and his autobiography is called Autobiography of a Spiritually Incorrect Mystic.
