Summary of the Book
Kevin is a Ph.D. student in chemistry who is in utter shock after coming to know that his advisor, Michael Ward, has passed away in a fire accident. He gets a cryptic email from Ward, sent by him just before his death. It says that he was being chased by someone who was hellbent on getting hold of the notebook with the results of a seemingly failed experiment: an experiment that Kevin and Ward had together worked on. But, even before Kevin could make any sense of the message, Ward's attackers are behind him. While Kevin is on the escape, he gets his girlfriend Erica Jensen, a medical student, involved unknowingly. Their flight together leads them to realise that Kevin had been a part of one of the most astonishing discoveries of the centuries without even being aware of it - a chemical process called Adamas worth billions of dollars. Will Kevin and Erica be able to show to the world how Adamas actually works?
