About Mani Bhaumik
Dr. Mani Lal Bhaumik is an Indian-born American physicist. He has a Ph.D. in Quantum Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, the first student to obtain the degree in the subject. He has won several awards and recognition for his works, including an honorary D.Sc. for lifetime academic achievement in 1995 from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and the Mahatma Gandhi Humanitarian Award in 2005, from the Indian American Heritage Foundation.
