Summary of the Book
East River is a haven for the American kids who have been stricken with a dangerous, terrible and mysterious disease. Ruby is one of them. Her parents decide to send her to a rehabilitation camp on her thirteen birthday, the day she falls sick. She escapes from rehab and wishes to join East River. And when she does, she is left hopeless to witness there was more than what met the eye and a lot more different about all she had heard about East River. In the meanwhile, Liam, the leader of East River has fallen for Ruby. People are plotting to use Ruby as their weapon in the fight against the government. What is their battle? About the Author
Alexandra Bracken is a writer and author. She had aspired to be a writer since her third grade days and has always wished specifically to be a children and young adults book writer. She began to pen Brightly Woven as a birthday present for a dear friend, and the novel grew over a year of wild weather to be a complete book. It also happens to be her first novel. She graduated in the year 2009, May from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
