Robert McCall, a retired black ops government operative, works at a Home Mart hardware store. As promised to his recently deceased wife, he tries to put his dangerous, old past behind and lead a quiet, normal life. However, he is compelled to act when his friend is needed to be saved from ultra-violent Russian gangsters. Will he succeed in saving his friend from the hardened criminals? The Equalizer, a 2014 American action thriller film, is directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by Richard Wenk. It is based on the television series by the same name. It stars Denzel Washington, Marton Csokas and Chloe Grace Moretz in lead roles.
