One of Puzo's best! Must read for Assassin's creed fans!

My friend first suggested this book and I finally bought it and read it 3 years later. It is a great read, and all the characters are historical, from renaissance Italy - although I am still confused as to whether it is 100% fiction.
The story revolves around the life of Pope Alexander VI, and tells the story of the beginning of the true mafioso and the rise of the first Don. The way the novel tells of how the pope justifies his actions and how he truly believes them to be righteous, is a del...

    True Puzo work

I have always loved and admired Puzo's work. How he describes characters, events..places..

And this book is no different.. no less.

I loved it.The characters were beautifully formed and the story-line is gripping and touching. I loved Caesar Borgia.. my favourite.

For any one who has read Puzo's work, this last book of his, is an absolute gem.

    so-so

Dont get me wrong, its an amazing book. a legacy, since you know you are holding an incomplete work of Mr. Puzo, but that feel when you reach the end and that small text saying "completed by Gino" just doesn't allow you to go past the fact that its not a Puzo work in a whole.
The quality of the book is amazing, flipkart as always brilliant there. But, extreme-die-hard puzo fans will love it. I just hope that the 'incomplete' feeling doesn't grab each one of you by the throat. Otherwise its a...

    Amazing read

For the person (roan) who so unknowingly is abusing Carol and claims to be a die hard fan of Puzo:

1: Carol Gino was the long time companion of author Mario Puzo for 20 years until his death in 1999 and in 2001 completed his book “The Family.”

2: Nowhere does it say that the book was written by Gino, it was completed by her.

3: If the man died before he could finish his story, I would think Carol had the right to finish some thing her companion started.

4: The ending might not be Puzo ...

    Not written by Mario Puzo!

This is not originally written by Mario Puzo but Carol Gino. You can read in small print ( completed by Carol Gino)
He probably paid off the publication house and got Puzo's name on it. This happens a lot.. I am a die hard Puzo fan and couldnt really finish this book..
