The book provides great insight into the working of the Research and Analysis Wing.
Raman was an IPS officer who was transferred to the Intelligence Bureau in New Delhi. He was noticed by India spymaster P. N. Kao, who took him in the Research and Analysis Wing. He died in 2013, after a very prolonged battle with cancer at the age of 77.
