  • Description
Can you forgive the past? It's 1963 and a young German reporter has been assigned the suicide of a holocaust survivor. The news story seems straighforward, this is a tragic insight into one man's suffering. But a long hidden secret is discovered in the pages of the dead man's diary. What follows is life-and-death hunt for a notorious former concentration camp-commander, a man responsible for the deaths of thousands, a man as yet unpunished. __________ Readers can't get enough of The Odessa File . . . ***** 'I personally assure anyone who wants to read it you will not be bored. Give it a try.' ***** 'Still amazed by it. Bravo.' ***** 'Great thriller that transcends the genre with a terrifying and unexpectedly poignant story.' ***** 'This is probably amongst my favourite books of all time.' ***** 'Fascinating and complex plot.'

NAZISM ....HERE AND EVERYWHERE....ALWAYS WILL BE ALIVE..

NAZISM WAS AN EXCUSE FOR THE RICH AND POWERFUL

TO PREY ON INDIVIDUAL LIFE AND TO CLOSE DOORS FOR

    INDIVIDUAL LIFE.

NAZISM WAS A TOOL TO CITE IDEALS LIKE STATE WELFARE, LANGUAGE

AND CO-EXISTANTIAL WELFARE TO HUNT INDIVIDUALS.

    IS NAZISM REALLY DEAD?

DONT YOU STILL SEE RICH AND POWERFUL REPEAT THE SAME

HUNTING GAMES TO SATIATE THEIR INSTINCTS OF BRUTALISING

INDIVIDUAL LIFE? LOOK AROUND YOU. NAZISM LIVES AND SHALL

ALWAYS LIVE UNTIL HUMANS THINK INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS COULD BE

    VIOLATED. NAZIS...

One of the best book in this genre.

Read this one during my teen age years. Was mighty impressed. Read it again in between, always liked it. Bought it recently from Flipkart and read it again, it is still interesting.

So what is my point. Well, this is a very good book. Worth your money and time.

Book Stands tall Vs the movie

I recently watched the movie adaptation of The Odessa File,As with Alistair Mclean ,Frederick Forsyths books are also top notch creations which when made into movies donot do full justice. This is a must read book for the WWII fiction lovers.Worth reading ,Worth gifting the next generation who are reading JK Rowling and Marvel Comics.

NAZI GERMANY IS ALL ABOUT PREYING INDIVIDUAL LIFE

NAZI GERMANY IS ALL ABOUT PREYING ON INDIVIDUAL LIFE

BY RICH AND POWERFUL IN THE NAME OF PROTECTING THE

    STATE, LANGUAGE AND CULTURE.

ARE THE NAZIS EXTINCT? DON'T WE SEE THEM IN A DIFFERENT

FORM EVERYWHERE CITING REASONS FOR DESTROYING INDIVIDUALS

IN THE NAME OF PROTECTING SOMETHING?

    - Slightly predictable story but as usual, a page turner.
    - Not as good as "The day of the jackal"

    Good one to read

Good one from Frederick Forsyth. Only go for this if you have some background knowledge of holocaust of the Jews in Europe, then you can relate the incidents in the book.

Good, but nowhere near the Jackal...

Forsyth fans don't get angry with me but this is the fact. I took this up just after reading The day of the Jackal with a lot of expectations built up from reading its reviews and hoping it to be the second best by Forsyth and needless to say, a bit disappointed. A top-notch thriller no doubt with a dramatic ending but lacks the vintage touch of its predecessor. The building-up of characters and motivation behind the plot are not up to the highest mark in my opinion, the cunning story-telling...
