honestly, as a greek myth nerd i can tell you if you don't wanna read the iliad, this is the perfect book for you.
it's basically a retelling of the iliad and the story is from patrochilles’ pov instead instead of achilles’ which i absolutely love.
and this is the kind of book that leaves a hollowness in your chest, i read the ebook a few days ago and it was so good that i just had to get a physical copy of it.

Beautiful.
Miller's world fits in so well with Homer's that most of the time you don't feel that what you're reading is mostly fictional.
The legendary Achilles and Patroclus love story told beautifully in a narrative that is painful and romantic. It captures everything there was and I don't think anyone should ever pass up on this book.

The facts are well written.. total patge turner .... the description of the great Achilles is impeccable. If you have a taste for history ... definitely a read worthwhile your time.
What imoressed em the most is the use of simple language yet to make the book as chivalrous to reflect the rich history of each character amongst the players in the story.
All in all ..am happy.

This is a very beautifully written book.
While the content of the book as per historical evidence is debatable, it is very convincingly put forth.
The authors skill and brilliance definitely comes through.
One of those few reads that absorbs you completely if you read it with and open mind and an open heart.
If Greek mythology/tragedy interests you. Or if you just like a good story well narrated. Go for it.
And it's a steal for the price on Flipkart.

A:Standalone! The author has added her own bits & to know them one must read the actual epic. But that affects not the reader. It's a good book for a novice in Greek mythology.
