Summary of the Book

Macy’s father passes away during one of their habitual morning runs. She gives up on running and is still recovering from the massive loss, due to which she is unable to comfort her mother. When her boyfriend suggests taking a break from their relationship, Macy applies for a new job and gets it. She meets Wes, who is also in an “on-a-break” relationship. Just when Macy starts to grow fond of him, she sees Wes with his girlfriend Becky, and is heartbroken all over again. Meanwhile, Macy’s mother advises against the job and asks her to stay away from Wes. What has the destiny in store for Macy and Wes?
