  • Description

The Way of Zen by Alan Watts is a work on philosophies of Buddhism and Taoism and how they have together contributed to Zen Buddhism. Watts’s astute narration deals with the past and present practices of Zen.

    Summary of the book

Alan Watts’s The Way of Zen is a terse guide divided into the two parts: the first dealing with the history and background of the Zen philosophy, and the second with its ideologies and practices. The diversity of the philosophy has had its deep rooted impact on the Western world and The Way of Zen is reckoned as one of the most significant introductory books about Zen in the Western world.
