Terrific purchase
In case of a power outage, the clock retains all the settings thanks to the built in battery backup. I have already had one blackout since owning it, and it held the time and alarm settings perfectly. No reconfiguring necessary the next morning huge win.

This thing is more than just a pretty face. The alarm function is reliable, and the tones are adjustable from soft to loud. I love the gradual increase option it wakes me up gently instead of jolting me out of bed. The snooze function is intuitive, and the buttons are well.placed so I am not fumbling around half asleep.
