In the last one hundred years, there has been an increasing interest and development in Traditional Folk Media like folk arts, folk music, theatre, traditional fairs and festivals in India. This growing interest is largely based on the conviction that the social change arises out of art, aesthetics, creativity and indigenous solutions. The Development Studies of 1960s brought about a paradigm shift in understanding the concept of development and social change in society. In this book, the author reflects on those structures of development, and change, which help us in the geometrical progression of society.
