When your muddled memory is the only thing that stands in the way millions of dollars, what would be the best way of fixing the problem? Directed by Academy Award-winner Danny Boyle of Slumdog Millionaire fame and starring James McAvoy (starred in X-Men: Days of Future Past), Vincent Cassel and Rosario Dawson, Trance is a crime-drama mystery film. The plot of this intriguing film follows an art auctioneer, who, along with a gang of criminals, steals a grand and expensive Goya painting that is worth millions. However, the auctioneer suffers a blow to the head during the heist which makes him forget where he hid the painting. With torture not showing any results, the gang leader seeks out a hypnotherapist to scour the trenches of the auctioneer’s subconscious mind. As the therapist and the gang dig deep into the auctioneer’s psyche, the fine line between fact and deceit begins to blur.
