Mukund Bihari is a literary enthusiast. His mother tongue is Maithili. He is an officer of the “Indian Statistical Service” and is presently appointed as a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. He was educated at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Darbhanga, Kirorimal College, Delhi University and Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai respectively. He has received more than seventy certificates/medals in literature related competitions/events at school, college and service levels. Statistics, literature and music are his three special favorites. He has the ability to write in all genres. Despite his lack of formal education in Maithili, he decided to take the risk of self-publishing his first book, 'Uffant Hum'. One of his important objectives behind writing this book is to bring Maithili Gajal to the lips of the people. He believes in continuous learning. Soon, his other books will be published/self-published.
