  • Description
Poetry is human visualization expressed in words. Every picture or photograph, feeling and emotion, presents a beautiful framework for poetry. Each visualization of Nature expressed in the book "Under the Azure Sky" is a vision and expression of sublime poetry of Nature and Earth juxtaposed with life under the vast sky. A portrayal of life on earth, expressions of a river or lake, visual portrayals of seasons on the earth, rivers, seas, mountains and hills, the dawn, the twilight on earth under the sky, flowers, birds, humans, rustic surroundings or the woods themselves, cities and rural areas, forests and deserts, humanity and emotions, hopes, dreams and aspirations, descriptions of human characters or animals in real life constitute the variations of subject for lofted poetry in this book.

    Author Info
    • Sarbajit Roy was born in Asansol, West Bengal, India. Growing up in Asansol, he was influenced by his father's writings of poetry, which the latter never published. The author joined Hindustan Copper Limited, Ghatsila (now in Jharkhand), in 1979. The scenic view in Ghatsila, inspired the author to try his hand in poetry. It was 'drawing on an empty canvas a few ordered lines'. In 1984, the author moved to the United States to work on his Master's Degree and PhD and stayed there for 27 years, returning to India in 2013. While attending the University of Texas at El Paso, and consequently teaching and lecturing, he also wrote poetry, many of which were published. Back in India, the author's poetry writing blossomed when working in Koderma with a renowned Engineering College of Jharkhand. The wooded, sylvan area surrounding the College, where the forest begins, has inspired eloquent expressions.
