When I eagerly opened the book, to my surprise I found full topic with details on RPC which I rarely found in other books. It also contains many otherwise untouched topics needed for understanding Unix POSIX programming. The book is printed on nice white paper better than most of books I have. Average size makes it completely readable. The price on book is 395/- but I got it for 348 including delivery charges.
It's small, precise and convey just what is needed. No lengthy explanations. This might be a good book if your intent is to score for exam or as a reference book, but you will not get good amount of in-depth knowledge. So my rating is just considering it as a handbook. Given one star less because of the boring text and code segments. Codes should have been written in fixed width fonts.
