Veedint Black Pepper Powder, Peppercorn Powder,  (200 g)

Veedint Black pepper powder is made from the dried unripe berries of the pepper plant. These berries are picked by hand shortly before they're ripe, then sundried and left to ferment in the sun for a few days. That's when the real fun starts. After fermentation, the berries are soaked in water for three days. Then they're spread out on giant trays and left for about 10 days to dry. After that, anything can happen – but not just yet. Sometimes it depends on where the peppercorns wind up – whether they're sold as whole berries to be ground at home or roasted, cracked and ground into a fine powder to be purchased already prepared - with some countries grinding their own from whole peppercorns. But wherever they go, one thing is certain: The best way to get that delicious black pepper flavor we all love? Cook with it!
