The web based tools and resources like Wikis, Blogs, Synchronous Collaboration tools, Multimedia Archives, M-Learning etc. are highly essential and helpful in scenario of teaching and learning practices of ‘Digital’ or ‘Google’ Generation. The integration of digital and advanced web based tools and resources are pivotal in enhancing quality in higher education especially in distance education. There are many ways that web-based technologies are being used in distance education like synchronous online communication, collaboration among students, information retrieval from various asynchronous multimedia platforms, simulations, interaction with instructors in and out of class etc. that highly enhance the academic quality of students who pursue their course through open and distance education system.
