Weirdos From Another Planet (English, Paperback, Watterson Bill)
A young boy and his stuffed tiger face grave peril, in the form of unfinished homework, anti-democratic parents and aliens, in Bill Watterson’s Weirdos From Another Planet.
Summary of the Book
Childhood is a wonderful thing. The adults seem oblivious to it, especially since they think children need to be guided through life. What’s so great about growing up anyway? Calvin breezes through his childhood like any other young boy: he’s got school to attend, babysitters to annoy and alien monsters to save the universe from! His mom and dad seem to think Calvin is making all of this up but they’ve got no idea that there’s an alien race out there waiting to take over the planet! Thankfully, Calvin’s not alone, he’s got his loyal tiger, Hobbes, to help him. However, even a tiger won’t be enough to save him from his parents. They seem to want him to pose for a picture, and they have a vendetta against his natural hairstyle. And like all parents, they’re gravely mistaken if they believe their son’s going to pose like they want him to. Join them in this collection of comic strips, celebrating some of the best moments of childhood!
