It Should Be U!! My Love is a fictional romantic book written by Anshul Sharma. Destiny plays a crucial role in everybody lives – and this is what is emphasized in this story through its characters.

Summary Of The Book

Arnav and Anadi – the two protagonists of this book – are destined to follow a certain path that they are unaware of. It is because of a game of cricket that becomes the platform for the first meeting of these two people. Arnav fell in love with Anandi at the first sight and he felt as if their souls have met the moment their eyes met. Arnav does every possible thing to bring Anadi into his life, but guess destiny has in stored something else for them.

The story takes a deciding turn when an older man walks into Anadi’s life. He is better-off and well-settled in his life as compared to Arnav. What will Anadi do? Will she opt for this older man? Or will the love of Arnav and Anadi find a way out of destiny’s plan? What does destiny plan for them? As the reader figures out these questions, Arnav gets a devastating blow on the sudden death of his grandmother. Gradually, as the story moves on he comes to terms with this great loss but is still unable to get over it.

Another twist in the story comes with the entry of another lady Sheil. She comes in the otherwise depressing life of Arnav and they go on a journey to Roorkee. This becomes a memorable journey for certain reasons. What will be the fate of Arnav and Anadi’s love story? Will Arnav be happy with Sheil? What will this journey to Roorkee change in Arnav’s life? What exactly has destiny written for Arnav and Anadi? All this is revealed as the debutant author uses his creativity to pen down a simple yet compelling story that makes the reader keep turning the pages till the end. 

In an interview, Anshul Sharma revealed that he was inspired to write this novel while reading one of Chetan Bhagat’s novels. While going through Bhagat’s writing, he thought that he could do better job at writing a book and so came out It Should Be U!! My Love – a story that revolves around the campus lives of students.

Anshul Sharma is a debutant Indian writer whose first published novel is It Should Be U!! My Love.

He writes in a simple language that consists of various grammatical errors as well. However, it is believed that is done intentionally to prove the point that this is how an Engineering or management student writes.

Anshul was born in 1991 in Agra, India. He is from an Army background, went to Army School in Agra, and thus has always been a disciplined child. At the time of publication of this book, he was pursuing a B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering. He is fond of movies and adventurous sports.
